Service Orientation (Princeton Area)
Make a real difference. Help your community. Show who you are. 🤝
- Best signal: weekly/biweekly, people-facing, and reflectable (you can write real stories).
- For MCAT summer: aim for 1 recurring anchor (3 hrs/wk) + 1 flexible “spike” option.
- Use Tracker: track each org independently (applied/active/hours/notes) to reduce anxiety.
These presets add a few Princeton-area service options to Tracker so you can choose and start quickly.

Tip for applications
Pick one people-facing role you can sustain (e.g., pantry intake, meal delivery, conversation partner). Add reflections monthly.
Shadowing
Get closer to the work. Learn what it really means to be a doctor. 🔬
- Schedule one consistent half‑day weekly.
- If stress rises in the last 7–10 days pre‑exam, pause shadowing first.
- Reflection: what surprised you / what you learned / what you’d ask next time.
